Les Murgères - East of France

Jobref

The refurbishment project at the ‘Les Murgères’ development in eastern France involves 36 homes, built in 1989, spread over three floors and comprising 1 or 2-bedroom flats.
The aim was to modernise these homes to improve energy efficiency, comfort and safety for residents. Resonance, the project's lead architect, worked in collaboration with design offices specialising in structural, thermal and fluid engineering.

Resonance architecture

All the communal areas have been completely renovated. The landings have been separated by the addition of two doors to improve acoustic insulation.

To create a warm, distinctive design and provide long-term protection for the communal areas, Résonance chose SPM Decochoc granite-coloured and Decowood Light Oak-coloured wall protection panels.
The architect wanted to cut strips of panels and position them alternately to give an aesthetic, modern and elegant touch. In addition to their visually pleasing appearance, these panels offer excellent durability (up to 25 years on average) and excellent resistance to heavy traffic, knocks and scratches.
